Young Siegfried

Count Hermann returned to the king's castle after the tragedy in the forest. When Hermann told this to the king, the king expelled the count from his court. Hermann regretted his action very much and felt very guilty. In the meantime, a miracle occurred. A hind found the king's son and suckled him for a year. When a blacksmith named Mime found the little man together with the hind, he took him in. He eventually gave him the name Siegfried.
